マツダミュージアムの見学へ Visited Mazda Museum

My friend took me to a Mazda museum tour. The morning tour was done in English, so there were many foreign guests.

I saw many cars and engines. Though I don't understand how a rotary engine works, I was happy to see how things are made.

The first Japanese car which won the race at Le Mans
(Note: The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the car race held near the town of Le Mans, France. It is the 24-hour endurance race. 24 heures du Mans in French)

Its engin: 787B 4-rotor engine

Two-rotor rotary engine

Plastic model car in real size:
They make plastic cars in design making process.
Can't tell if it's plastic. It just looks like metal.

Conventional piston vs. Skyactive-G piston (right)

The assembly line we saw was producing Demio.
I love to see production lines.

Extra info.
The closest JR train station is Mukainada station.
It's the 2nd station from Hiroshima station on the Sanyo Honsen line.
Mazda main building is just a few blocks away from the station.

Hope you have a chance to visit Mazda museum next time you go to Hiroshima city.

Be sure to book your tour in advance.
