夢を叶えたい人は必読！『アルケミスト - 夢を旅した少年』

「夢を叶えたい人は必読！」と言われ、『アルケミスト - 夢を旅した少年』を読みました。

ブラジル人作家の本で、サン・テクジュペリの『星の王子様』と並ぶ世界的なベストセラーだそうです。


私は『星の王子様』を読むのを途中であきらめましたが、『アルケミスト』はある意味冒険物でとても面白かった。



主人公は羊飼いの少年サンチャゴ （Santiago）。

スペインのアンダルシアからスタートして、ピラミッドにあるという宝物を探しに旅に出ます。

外国、ピラミッド、砂漠、キャラバン…という言葉でワクワクするのですが、少年が旅先で出会う人々の言葉に深いメッセージが込められています。



「おまえが何かを望む時には、宇宙全体が協力して、それを実現するために助けてくれるのだよ」



英語版ではどんな表現が使われているのか調べてみました。
